The Northern Miner is pleased to launch the Goldquest Challenge, a new international contest designed to engage students in the world of gold exploration and mining with the opportunity to win an all-expenses-paid trip to Vancouver for the 2026 CIM Convention (May 3–6, 2026).

Participants will complete a short monthly quiz focused on gold, mining, and its role in the global economy. Each completed quiz earns one entry toward the grand prize draw. From all entries, 20 qualified students will be selected to submit a brief essay on a gold-related theme, with the winning submission chosen by an expert panel.

The grand prize includes round-trip travel, accommodations, meals, and full access to the CIM Convention, one of Canada’s premier mining events.

International students are invited to participate, expand their knowledge, and compete for an unforgettable experience in Vancouver.
